The project's mission has been to get the Archive's vast holdings of uncataloged 10- and 12-inch LPs, some listed on file cards, but most of them not shelf-listed or documented in any form, into the library's online catalog. This presentation looks at the challenges and benefits of a large-scale outsourcing project involving the three-way collaboration of one of the nation's foremost institutional sound archives, OCLCs Techpro and an independently funded archival processing unit.
